Finally decided to try putting a small window AC unit in the big awning window I installed in the basement way back when. I've been running the dehumidifier, but it's been making the basement about 80 degrees.
I think it turned out ok, but more importantly it seems to be helping cool things off in the basement a lot. I added some blue painter's tape for airgaps and to help keep it in place in big wind gusts.
