2023 march 25 sat morning public land by west side of badlands entrance
slept really well, 9-6a.m. essentially, which is good. no wind, no road noise, a little of Jeff’s van heater in the background, but I’m used to that sound.
I had a major running nose last night, and briefly a scratchy throat. Still have a slight running nose, but it’s mostly over. just picked up a cold somewhere along the way. Need to get back in the habit of using the antiseptic spray I keep in the trucks driver side door pocket after returning to the truck from a store, restaurant, restroom whatever. Kill the germs on my hands asap
anyway, this morning after packup, Wall Drugs! looking forward to some donuts/breakfast. Last night I just had a soupy Campbell’s version of Beef stew, it was ony 270 calories per the can, so I’ll be starving as soon as I get moving around this morning. might get some decongestant too. I owe Jeff a cr2032 battery, i replaced the one in my levelmate I’ll have to recalibrate it when I find a somewhat level parking lot.
I think today after Wall Drugs, we’ll head towards Mt Rushmore/Crazy Horse. Jeff and I need to refer to Gaia GPS / google maps to find a spot to overnight first.
