5 apr Grand Canyon southern rim
came
in from the east side via 64, I think back when I saw it with jacqui we
came in from the other side. i don’t rememer seeing any of the stops
we did today. it was chilly, 36-37, but sunny and a mild wind. good
visibility. glad we got to see it, lots of photos, but you’ll have to
wait until I get home.
I put all the Grand Canyon photos down below, but be warned, the photos are never as good as being there in person.
5 apr wed evening at Camp
camped just outside of the southern Grand Canyon entrance.
nice camping spot tucked in the woods.
used
the new mini skillet, i like it! the 16oz beer can for scale. i
first sauteed onions and peppers, dumped them in my bowl, then cooked
the chicken. adding roasted peanut oil each time. I used the aluminum
windscreen that came with my primus omni white gas backpacking stove.
really helped keep it warm
the
last photo below, is just a closeup after dumping the broccoli out.
mixed some of the spicy asian peanut sauce I made at home. Oh and I
used the mini instant pot to steam the jasmine rice. only took about 20
min to put the meal together. was nice being able to juggle the 3
different cookers at the same time too.
